On Sunday we're opening at The Fox Theater for Au Revoir Simone, who's in the middle of a world tour. For a band, that is playing their heart out and googling $1 dollar PBR night and eating tater tots too fucking often, this is potentially a really big deal for us.
As the ONLY chick in the band....it's important that I look smokin'. Being the rose amongst the thorns, we have a few responsibilities. A. Make sure no one leaves a capo B. Sing something pretty, to offset any potential "man rock" sounds. and C. Look hot. That's just the way the cookie crumbles....if it were an all girl band, you're allowed to have a few wonkies, but if you're the token chick, you've got to give off potential Maxim cover vibe. So, considering the fact that I would prefer to wear boxers, wife beaters and messy buns....I've got to pull it together before Sunday.

I think 4 would be amazingly hot! And wearing a messy bun would be very appropriate so you can still be the girl you are. :)

I'm a fan of 2 and 1 (to a slightly lesser extent) - I think it depends on your hair. I LOVE 4 but I don't know if it's right for a show.

I would definitely go with #1, because you can't go wrong with black and it's hot. If #6 were black I would go for it because of the boobage factor. It's hot, but not so much in that color.

Reasons:
1. Girly but still indie rock queen enough.
2. Neckline is screaming out for those oh so necessary layered necklaces.
3. It can work with flats, heels, or kick ass boots.
4. You'll look great rocking out around the stage in it.
Number two. It will look awesome in pictures from most angles, will be comfortable for rocking out, and no one will be able to tell if you get all sweaty because of the pattern.

this is late... but one or six. those are definitely the hottest dresses. i don't know the vibe of your band though... so for something indie-esque, two or four COULD work. i'm not obsessed with either, and between the two i'd go for four. three looks young, and i think the cut of five looks weird... but it could work if it looks hot on you. but yeah. Chels, I am terribly jealous. Please let me know next time you're playing. I've just started a band, we're a little baby band of my roommates playing and writing together. We're busking around Brooklyn, but none the less, it makes my day to sing with them. It's an all girl folk band so our look is pretty much flowery dresses and loose hair but I love love love the hot rock chick vibe. More pics please!
